Roger Bourdin, flutist

Bourdin was a distinguished flutist and a fine teacher. He was also fun in class. For decades, he served as Principal Flute of l'Orchestre Lamoureux in Paris. I studied with him at the Conservatoire national de musique in Versailles -- where I won my first Premier Prix de flūte.
